The best AI marketing tools are not one product. AI marketing tools are software that uses AI to draft, design, schedule, analyze or automate marketing work. That work splits into distinct jobs, and each has a sensible pick: a general assistant, writing, SEO, design and social, email and CRM, automation and agents, and, newer, tracking what AI engines say about your brand.

Many lists give you a long roll call of names and prices that disagree with each other. Here you get a short pick list for each job, the price on the day we captured it, what each tool does and what to watch for. Our own product is in the list, last on purpose.

  Some links below are affiliate links: if you buy through them, geotoolbox may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links go to Surfer and Semrush; every other vendor link is a plain link, including Copy.ai, Writesonic, HubSpot and Ahrefs. geotoolbox also sells an AI visibility tracker that appears in this list as its last entry, plus AI article writing and AI automation and agents that overlap some of the tools covered here, so read our verdicts as an interested party's. Prices and limits come from each vendor's own pages, captured on November 6 and 7, 2026, and we did not run a hands-on test of every tool. ## AI Marketing Tools at a Glance

Pick the job that costs you the most hours, then read that section. Prices are in US dollars from each vendor's own site, captured on November 6 and 7, 2026 from a US connection while logged out. The first figure is the monthly price, and the figure in brackets is the price per month when billed annually, where the vendor offers one.

## How We Chose These Tools (and What We Left Out)

We kept tools that add something beyond a single general-assistant account, such as shared multi-model chat, scheduling, brand controls, CRM integration, triggered workflows or AI-search tracking. We used the same test as in our [AI SEO tools guide](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/best-ai-seo-tools): does the tool do new work, or does it add an AI button to an old product?

Every current vendor price comes from the vendor's own site, never from another listicle. [Salesmate](https://www.salesmate.io/blog/ai-marketing-tools/), [OneLittleWeb](https://onelittleweb.com/top-tools/best-ai-marketing-tools/) and [Toffu](https://toffu.ai/blog/best-ai-marketing-tools) still show Writesonic at $16 or $39 a month and Surfer at $79 or $89, and the vendor pages we captured show neither: Writesonic's writing plans are gone and the Surfer page has no Essential plan. Where a page showed euros or hid its price behind a sales call, we say so instead of guessing.

What a tool does comes from its own pages, and we label it that way. We left out standalone video, voice, image and slide generators, vibe-coding tools, reporting and attribution software and enterprise suites such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud: they are production, development, analytics or enterprise tools with a different buying decision, so this guide stays with the tools a marketing team runs day to day.

Three things kept a tool out. It had no public price and no trial. It was only recommended in forum threads where the poster owned the product, a pattern visible in this [r/AskMarketing thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskMarketing/comments/1uesmjq/), where one answer opens with the poster saying they made one of the tools. Or it looked like a tool for tricking AI detectors rather than doing marketing work.

## Start with a General Assistant: ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini

A lot of what marketers hand to AI is writing, research and analysis, and the three general assistants already cover it. A commenter in a [r/DigitalMarketing thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/DigitalMarketing/comments/1w9p17z/what_are_the_best_ai_marketing_tools_every/) said their agency tried a bunch of "AI marketing" tools, found them fine in isolation but hard to fit into a full workflow, and now uses ChatGPT or Claude connected to other software through MCP (Model Context Protocol). It is one agency's experience, but it names the integration problem the rest of this guide keeps returning to.

### What Each Plan Costs

All three have a free plan, and the paid ladders are close:

<table>
  <thead>
    <tr>
      <th>Assistant</th>
      <th>Free</th>
      <th>First paid plan</th>
      <th>Mid plan</th>
      <th>Heavy use</th>
    </tr>
  </thead>
  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td><strong>ChatGPT</strong></td>
      <td>$0</td>
      <td>Go $8 (may include ads)</td>
      <td>Plus $20</td>
      <td>Pro from $100</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td><strong>Claude</strong></td>
      <td>$0</td>
      <td>Pro $20 ($17 billed annually)</td>
      <td>Max $100</td>
      <td>Ultra $200</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td><strong>Gemini</strong></td>
      <td>$0</td>
      <td>Google AI Plus $4.99</td>
      <td>Google AI Pro $19.99</td>
      <td>Google AI Ultra from $99.99</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>

For team seats, Claude's Team plan lists a standard seat at $25 a month ($20 billed annually) and a premium seat at $125 ($100). Plan details move quickly, so check the [ChatGPT pricing guide](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/chatgpt-pricing), the [Claude pricing guide](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/claude-pricing) and the [Gemini pricing guide](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/gemini-pricing) for the current limits behind each tier.

### Check the Data Settings

Before you paste customer data into an assistant, read what the plan does with it. [OpenAI](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/5722486-how-your-data-is-used-to-improve-model-performance) says it may use content from the individual plans it names (Free, Plus, Pro) to train its models unless you opt out in Data controls, and that by default it does not use inputs or outputs from ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, Edu or the API. [Anthropic](https://privacy.claude.com/en/articles/10023580-is-my-data-used-for-model-training) describes training on consumer chats as a setting you control, while its [commercial terms](https://privacy.claude.com/en/articles/7996868-is-my-data-used-for-model-training) say it does not use inputs or outputs from commercial products to train its models by default. [Google](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/13594961?hl=en) says it uses Gemini activity to develop its services, including training generative AI models, unless you turn Keep Activity off.

### Where a General Assistant Stops Being Enough

The writing is rarely what pushes a team to buy something else. The surrounding system is: scheduling and approvals, a CRM record that updates itself, send-time data from your own list, a trigger that starts a workflow without anyone opening a chat window. Those are the jobs the rest of this list covers.

Keep the limit in mind, too. One poster in an [r/SEO thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/1ujoay0/) about fact-checking AI content wrote that the models "just casually make up statistics, quote fake reports from huge brands, and invent urls that look completely real but lead to a 404 page." Every tool below that writes for you inherits that risk, which is why a later section covers what to check before anything ships.

## AI Writing and Brand Voice Tools

Writing tools earn their price when several people produce content marketing copy that has to sound like one company. If you are the only writer, start with the assistant above and revisit this section when the edits start piling up.

### Jasper

**Best for:** teams that need off-brand copy flagged before it ships.

[Jasper](https://www.jasper.ai/pricing) sells an AI marketing platform built around brand voice, knowledge assets and agents. Its pages say it stops brand voice violations before they happen and runs "AI agents that execute marketing end to end," with agents for GEO (generative engine optimization), translations and deep research on the Business plan. Those are the vendor's claims, and we have not run Jasper ourselves.

**Price:** Pro is $69 a month billed monthly, or $59 a month billed annually, and includes one seat, two Brand Voices, five knowledge assets and three audiences. Business is custom pricing through sales, with credits for its GEO and agent features.

**Watch for:** there is no free plan, only a 7-day trial, and Pro is a single seat, so a team of five is a sales conversation from day one.

### Copy.ai

**Best for:** teams that want several AI models in one shared chat, with workflows reserved for Enterprise.

[Copy.ai](https://www.copy.ai/prices) now positions itself around go-to-market work. Its self-serve plan, Chat, gives five seats access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models with unlimited chat words and projects. Workflows run on credits, which the page defines as "a specific amount of computational power necessary to execute the tasks within a given workflow."

**Price:** Chat is $29 a month, or $24 billed annually ($288 a year). Workflow credits, API access and guided implementation sit in the custom Enterprise tier.

**Watch for:** the self-serve plan is chat only. [OneLittleWeb's December 2025 list](https://onelittleweb.com/top-tools/best-ai-marketing-tools/) shows a $249 Agents plan, and the page we captured on November 6 does not offer one, so confirm what your plan includes before you plan around workflows.

## AI SEO and Content Optimization Tools

For a deeper comparison, see our [AI SEO tools guide](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/best-ai-seo-tools) and the [content optimization tools list](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/best-content-optimization-tools).

### Surfer

**Best for:** scoring a draft against what already ranks, then tracking AI mentions of your brand.

[Surfer](/go/surfer?ref=best-ai-marketing-tools-surfer) has moved to surfer.ai, and its plan ladder no longer matches the one in older reviews. The page describes one-click content optimization, and its AI tracker says it follows how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews mention your brand.

**Price:** from the [pricing page](https://surfer.ai/pricing/), Discovery is $59 a month ($49 billed annually) with 10 documents a month. AI Search Analytics is $95 ($82) for 50 AI prompts refreshed daily. Standard is $119 ($99), Pro $219 ($182) and Peace of Mind $359 ($299) with unlimited documents and API access.

**Watch for:** Discovery lists 0 AI prompts. AI Search Analytics tracks 50 prompts daily across the listed engines, and Standard includes 25 ChatGPT prompts refreshed weekly. The $79 and $89 Essential plan quoted in older lists is gone.

### Semrush

**Best for:** one login for keyword research, audits and AI search data.

[Semrush](/go/semrush-seo?ref=best-ai-marketing-tools-semrush) is now part of Adobe, which [announced the completed acquisition](https://news.adobe.com/news/2026/04/adobe-completes-semrush-acquisition) on April 28, 2026. Its [pricing page](https://www.semrush.com/pricing/seo-ai-search/) groups plans under "SEO + AI Search," and its AI visibility pages name ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, SearchGPT, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews.

**Price:** the SEO plan is $139.95 a month ($117.33 billed annually), Starter $199 ($165.17) with 50 AI prompts tracked daily, and Pro+ $299 ($248.17) with 100. Advanced is custom, and the free plan includes one demo project. Semrush also sells an [AI Visibility Toolkit](https://www.semrush.com/pricing/ai/) as a separate per-domain product: Base is $99 a month for 25 prompts, with mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity.

**Watch for:** the plan comparison table lists no custom prompts for AI Analysis on the entry SEO plan, even though its card mentions AI search tracking, so read the table before you buy it for that job.

## AI Tools for Design, Social and Ad Creative

These are the tools where AI replaces a production step: a layout, a scheduled week of social media posts, a set of ad variants. They are also where output quality varies most, so treat the first batch as a draft.

### Canva

**Best for:** non-designers who need on-brand visuals fast.

[Canva](https://www.canva.com/pricing/) bundles its AI features into each plan, and the plans differ by how much AI you get. Pro lists 10x the AI of the free plan and Business 20x, with a monthly AI allowance that varies by plan and an AI Pass add-on that costs extra.

**Price:** the free plan has limited access to Standard and Premium AI and 5GB of storage. Pro is $18 a month for one person or $144 a year. Business is $25 a month per person or $250 a year per person.

**Watch for:** heavy AI use is metered, so a team that generates a lot of images should price the add-on and top-ups, not only the seat.

### Buffer

**Best for:** small teams that schedule across several social media channels.

[Buffer](https://buffer.com/pricing) includes its AI Assistant on every plan, the free one included, and describes it as unlimited use for creating, refining and repurposing posts. The free plan connects up to three channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel.

**Price:** billing is per channel, not per seat. Essentials is $6 per channel a month ($5 billed annually) and Team is $12 ($10) with unlimited team members and approval workflows. Five channels on Essentials come to $30 a month, or $25 billed annually.

**Watch for:** the Free plan holds 10 scheduled posts per channel, and approval workflows only arrive on the Team plan.

### Hootsuite

**Best for:** teams that manage many social accounts and want one shared AI assistant.

[Hootsuite](https://www.hootsuite.com/plans) says every plan runs on "Wisdom, your AI teammate" and lists 100 AI credits a month on Standard, Professional and Advanced.

**Price:** in the annual view, Standard is $99 per user a month for 10 social accounts, Professional is $199 and Advanced $399, both with unlimited accounts. Enterprise is custom, and there is a 14-day trial. A 50% off Standard sale banner was showing on the capture date; the prices here are the list prices.

**Watch for:** the page shows no monthly price, though its FAQ says monthly billing exists.

### AdCreative.ai

**Best for:** ecommerce and paid social teams that run ad campaigns and need many variants quickly.

[AdCreative.ai](https://www.adcreative.ai/) generates ad banners, texts, photoshoots and videos. Its pricing sits on the homepage, because the /pricing URL returns a 404. The page says you can generate unlimited creatives, and a credit is spent only when you download one.

**Price:** Starter is $39 a month ($20 billed annually) and lists 20 credits a month. Professional is $249 ($125) and the top tier is $999 ($500), each listing 300 credits a month.

**Watch for:** credits are spent on downloads, so Starter's 20 credits cap how many finished ads you can keep each month. Whether AI-generated creative converts is a result you have to test in your own account; the vendor's claims are not evidence. Google's [Performance Max](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/14150602?hl=en) can generate headlines, descriptions and image suggestions, and Meta's [Advantage+ creative](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/297506218282224) offers AI text and background generation. Neither page states a separate cost, so try them before paying for a standalone tool.

## AI in Email, CRM and Marketing Automation

In email marketing and CRM, the AI that matters sits next to your own data: your list, your deals, your send history. A standalone chat tool cannot see those, which is the main reason to pay for a platform here.

### HubSpot

**Best for:** teams that want AI agents and content tools inside the CRM they already run.

[HubSpot's pricing page](https://www.hubspot.com/pricing/marketing) now brands its agents as Agent Hub and bills them in HubSpot Credits; we found no separate Breeze pricing page. The [product catalog](https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog) sets the credit terms: $0.010 each pay-as-you-go, $10 capacity packs that add 1,000 credits a month for the rest of your commitment term, no rollover of unused credits, and usage pauses until the reset date or until you buy more credits. The pricing page also lists a standalone AEO (answer engine optimization) product that shows how a brand appears in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and HubSpot offers a free [Campaign Assistant](https://www.hubspot.com/campaign-assistant).

**Price:** Marketing Hub Free covers up to 2 users with no card. Starter shows $10 per seat a month ($7 billed annually), but the page labels it a new-customer discount from a $20 list price. Professional is $890 a month on an annual commitment ($800 a month if paid annually up front) with 3 core seats and a required one-time onboarding fee of $3,000. Enterprise is $3,600 a month plus $7,000 onboarding. AEO alone is $50 a month ($45 annually) for 25 prompts tracked daily, with a 28-day trial.

**Watch for:** the credit meter. Agents spend credits per action, so estimate your monthly volume before you rely on them, and add the onboarding fee to year-one cost.

### Klaviyo

**Best for:** ecommerce brands that run email marketing and SMS campaigns.

[Klaviyo](https://www.klaviyo.com/pricing) prices by active profiles, and its AI comes as metered features, Composer (an AI marketing agent) and a Customer Agent: every plan includes a small allowance, and paid plans sell more as add-ons. The free plan covers up to 250 active profiles and 500 emails a month, with $5 of Composer usage and 10 Customer Agent resolutions included.

**Price:** at 500 active profiles, Email is $20 a month and Marketing $25, with a first-month $1 offer on Marketing. The slider drives the cost: at 35,000 profiles the same plans read $550 and $685 a month.

**Watch for:** Composer and the Customer Agent draw on a small included allowance, and anything beyond it is an add-on on paid plans.

### Mailchimp

**Best for:** small lists that want to start free and add AI features later.

[Mailchimp](https://mailchimp.com/pricing/marketing/) lists its prices as "starts at" the lowest contact tier. Generative AI features are not included on Essentials and are a no-additional-cost add-on on Standard and Premium, and predictive segments are on Standard and Premium only. The page says access to Intuit Assist is at no additional cost "at this time."

**Price:** Free covers up to 250 contacts. Essentials starts at $13 a month, Standard at $20 and Premium at $350, all in the monthly view at the lowest contact tier. The Premium card also shows a first-year promotional price.

**Watch for:** the price rises with your contact count, and annual billing is handled through sales above 10,000 contacts.

### ActiveCampaign

**Best for:** teams that want automation builders and predictive sending as the list grows.

[ActiveCampaign](https://www.activecampaign.com/pricing) lists generative AI for content and images from Plus and predictive sending at each contact's best time from Pro, and says every plan includes 500 AI credits.

**Price:** at 1,000 contacts in the annual view, Starter is $15 a month, Plus $49, Pro $79 and Enterprise $145. The page shows no monthly price and no free plan, only a 14-day trial.

**Watch for:** these prices assume annual billing and 1,000 contacts, so a bigger list or monthly billing will not match the page.

## Workflow Automation and AI Agents

With AI marketing agents, the meter decides the cost more than the sticker price does. Each of the three tools below bills something different: tasks, credits or workflow executions. A tool that looks cheap at the entry tier can cost much more once an agent runs all day. Our guides to [AI agent examples](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/ai-agent-examples) and [AI agent security risks](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/ai-agent-security-risks) cover what agents can do and what to lock down before you give one access to your accounts.

### Zapier

**Best for:** connecting the apps and integrations you already use, with AI steps inside the workflow.

[Zapier](https://zapier.com/pricing) says Zap workflows, AI steps, code, MCP and SDK all draw from the same task allocation, with no separate budgets by product. Agents are sold as a separate add-on, and Zapier defines an activity as an action an agent takes in a behavior or chat, a web browse, or a knowledge lookup.

**Price:** Free gives 100 tasks a month. Professional starts at $29.99 a month ($19.99 billed annually) at the lowest task tier, and the price rises as you move up the task slider. Team starts at $103.50 ($69). The Agents add-on has a free tier of 400 activities, and Pro is $50 a month ($33.33 billed annually) for 1,500 activities.

**Watch for:** "starting from" means the lowest task tier. Count how many tasks and agent activities a normal month uses before you compare it with other tools.

### Gumloop

**Best for:** teams that want to build agents on a credit meter and accept usage-based cost.

[Gumloop](https://www.gumloop.com/pricing) bills in credits indexed at $0.005 each, and model tokens, compute and paid tool calls are all charged in those credits at each provider's list price. It also adds an 8% orchestration fee on the full list cost of a task, and the fee rises to 16% if you bring your own model API key.

**Price:** Pro is $37 a month for 20,000 credits, with unlimited agents and seats. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and the page shows no monthly or annual toggle.

**Watch for:** pay-as-you-go credits are off by default, so check what a typical run costs before you scale to more agents.

### n8n

**Best for:** technical marketers who want to self-host or pay per workflow run.

[n8n](https://n8n.io/pricing) says it charges only when a workflow runs from start to finish, rather than per step or per user, and every plan includes unlimited users and workflows. n8n also publishes a self-hosted Community Edition on GitHub.

**Price:** Cloud Starter is $24 a month ($20 billed annually) for 2,500 workflow executions, and Pro is $60 ($50) for 10,000. Business is self-hosted only at $960 ($800), and Enterprise is by contact. The cloud plans come with a free trial and no card.

**Watch for:** someone has to run, update and secure the server when you self-host.

## What an AI Marketing Stack Costs: Solo, Team and Team with CRM

List prices for AI tools look small one at a time. Here are three stacks priced from the captures above, with the arithmetic shown so you can swap in your own tools.

<figure className="not-prose my-6">
  ![Paired bars comparing monthly and annual billing for three AI marketing stacks, from $38 a month for a solo marketer to $1,488 for a team of five with CRM and AI search tracking.](/blog/best-ai-marketing-tools/ai-marketing-stack-monthly-cost.png)

      <td>About $1,288 (team $323.16 + $800 + $165.17)</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>

These totals are our own sums of the list prices captured on November 6, 2026, not vendor figures. Canva's annual price is quoted per person per year ($250), so we divided by 12. They leave out HubSpot's one-time $3,000 onboarding fee, any credit top-ups, and taxes. They also count one seat each on Surfer Discovery, Zapier Professional and Semrush Starter and only the core seats HubSpot Professional includes, so extra HubSpot seats and Zapier's multi-user Team plan would raise the totals. HubSpot's $890 "billed monthly" price is an annual contract paid monthly, not month-to-month. The third stack prices what we built, not the minimum. HubSpot Professional lists AEO in beta; if your account has access and its engine coverage meets your needs, you may not need Semrush Starter solely for prompt tracking.

The first jump is from solo to team: seats multiply, and per-channel and per-seat prices add up fast. The second is the CRM. HubSpot Professional alone costs more than twice the rest of the team stack as priced here, which is why it is worth asking whether Free (up to 2 users) or a lighter email tool covers your needs first.

Budgets keep growing, too. Zapier, which sells one of the tools above, [surveyed 715 US professionals on AI spending](https://zapier.com/blog/ai-spending/) and found that 86% plan to increase AI investment over the next 12 months. Those respondents work at companies with 500 or more employees that already use at least three paid AI tools, so treat the figure as a signal from mature adopters, not a small-team average.

## Where AI Marketing Output Goes Wrong

The AI tools above save time on drafts. They do not remove the need to check what they produce, and two risks show up in every category.

### Facts and Sources

Google's guidance on generative AI content is blunt: "It is critical to manually factcheck and review all AI-generated content for accuracy and trustworthiness before publishing." The [same page](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/using-gen-ai-content), last updated October 1, 2026, says that using generative AI tools to generate many pages without adding value for users may violate Google's spam policy on scaled content abuse.

### Scale Without Value

Google's [spam policies](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/essentials/spam-policies) define scaled content abuse as many pages generated mainly to manipulate rankings and not to help users, "no matter how it's created." So the risk sits in publishing a lot of pages that add nothing, whoever wrote them.

One independent data point shows how that can play out. Lily Ray tracked 220+ sites publicly identified as customers of AI content platforms and [reported](https://lilyraynyc.substack.com/p/it-works-until-it-doesnt-ai-content-risks) in May 2026 that 54% lost 30% or more of their peak organic traffic, 39% lost 50% or more and 22% lost 75% or more. Her own caveats matter: the numbers are third-party Ahrefs and Sistrix estimates, and she states she is not asserting that any AI content tool directly caused any traffic outcome. The sites were publicly identified customers of AI content platforms, so they are also not a random sample. Treat it as a warning about a pattern across many sites.

### What to Check Before Anything Ships

1. Check every number, quote and URL against the source it names, and open the link.
2. Compare any performance claim with your own data in Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, not the tool's summary.
3. Run a human edit for voice and for anything a customer could read as a promise.
4. Save the prompts and settings that worked, so the next draft does not start from zero.

## AI Search Visibility Tools: Tracking Your Brand in AI Engines

AI search visibility asks a different question from content creation: what AI engines say about your brand once the content is out. That job now sits inside tools you may already pay for. Surfer, Semrush, HubSpot and Writesonic all sell AI search tracking, and so do specialist trackers.

Prices in this category are easy to misread. In a DataForSEO capture of Google's AI Overview for "ai marketing tools" on November 6, Profound was listed at $99 a month. On [Profound's own pricing page](https://www.tryprofound.com/pricing) on November 7, that figure belongs to Agency Growth, its agency plan: $99 a month plus add-ons, including $399 a month per full client workspace and $199 a month for five trial workspaces. For brands, the page shows a free 7-day trial and custom Enterprise pricing. Every figure below comes from the vendor's page instead.

The data needs the same skepticism as the prices. A commenter in an [r/SEO thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/1wp2k13/) wrote that "the biggest mistake I see is people measuring AI traffic in GA4 and calling that AI visibility." Clicks are only the part of AI visibility that shows up in analytics; the rest is what the engines say without sending anyone to your site. Our guides on [AI visibility metrics](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/ai-search-visibility-metrics) and [how to track AI visibility](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/how-to-track-ai-visibility) explain what each metric measures, and the [AI visibility tools comparison](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/best-ai-visibility-tools) goes deeper than this section can.

Peec AI is another tracker, with plans of 50, 150 or 350 prompts across a choice of three models. It is priced in euros, so we leave its price out of this US-dollar guide. For Profound's trial and Enterprise terms, see our [Profound pricing guide](https://geotoolbox.ai/blog/profound-pricing).

### Writesonic

**Best for:** teams that want AI search tracking and AI-written articles in one plan.

[Writesonic](https://writesonic.com/pricing) has changed what it sells. The pricing page now leads with finding "which prompts recommend your competitors instead of you" and fixing it with AI agents, and the old $16 and $39 writing plans quoted in other lists are gone. Self-serve plans track ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and its [AI visibility tracker page](https://writesonic.com/ai-visibility-tracker) says it crawls platforms "like a real user. Not through APIs."

**Price:** Starter is $99 a month ($79 billed annually) for 50 prompts tracked daily, 15 AI articles a month, 10 site audits and 1 user. Basic is $249 ($199) with 100 prompts and 2 users, and Growth is $499 ($399) with 200 prompts and 3 users. Enterprise is custom.

**Watch for:** only the three engines above are named on the self-serve plans, so confirm your target engines before you pay.

### Otterly

**Best for:** small brands that want a cheap, narrow start in AI search tracking.

[Otterly](https://otterly.ai/pricing) tracks daily and lists unlimited team members. The base plans cover four engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, and the feature list also includes GEO and crawlability audits.

**Price:** Lite is $29 a month ($25 billed annually) for 15 search prompts. Standard is $189 ($160) for 100 prompts plus API, MCP and agent analytics, and Premium is $489 ($422) for 400. On Lite, Google AI Mode and Gemini are $9 a month each and Claude is $29, and extra prompt packs of 100 cost $99 on the higher plans. There is a free trial but no free plan.

**Watch for:** Lite lists 15 prompts, and Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are separate monthly add-ons.

### Ahrefs Brand Radar

**Best for:** teams that already pay for Ahrefs.

[Brand Radar](https://ahrefs.com/brand-radar) is sold as two products. Ahrefs plans from Lite up include a small prompt-tracking allowance, and larger allowances are sold in packages metered in checks. It lists AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude.

**Price:** prompt tracking starts at $50 a month for the Basic package (2,500 checks, overage $0.020 per check), with Growth at $100 and Scale at $250. The AI Visibility Index starts at $199 a month. Ahrefs Lite is $129 a month ($108 billed annually).

**Watch for:** the meter. Each prompt is checked daily on every platform you select, and Claude consumes 8 checks per update, so a long prompt list on many engines uses checks quickly.

### geotoolbox

<figure className="not-prose my-6">
  ![geotoolbox's Free AI Readiness Checker page: 'Is your site ready for AI agents?' with a domain field and a Get my score button.](/vendors/geotoolbox-ai-readiness/hero.png)
  <figcaption className="mt-3 text-center text-sm text-gray-500">Our own free AI Readiness checker.</figcaption>
</figure>

**Best for:** checking whether AI bots can reach your pages, then tracking what up to eight engines say about your brand.

This one is ours. The free [AI Readiness checker](https://geotoolbox.ai/tools/ai-readiness) runs five foundational checks server-side with no sign-up: robots.txt validity, AI-crawler access, content signals, sitemap and markdown negotiation. Three of them set the headline score; content signals and markdown negotiation are shown separately. The paid tracker covers eight engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Bing Copilot, Claude and Grok. Our [pricing page](https://geotoolbox.ai/pricing) also lists content tools, and Pro includes about 30 articles a month.

**Price:** Starter is $99 a month ($79 billed annually) for 1 brand, 50 prompts per brand and 3 engines. Plus is $199 ($159) for up to 3 brands and 5 of the 8 engines, and Pro is $399 ($319) for up to 5 brands and all 8. Agency plans start at $499 ($399) for 15 client brands with white-label reports. The 7-day trial needs a card and runs on 25% of the plan's monthly credits.

**Watch for:** every plan scans weekly. You can run a scan on demand, which spends credits, and daily scans are an add-on on Scale and Enterprise only. Starter has 1 team seat, no self-serve plan includes API or MCP access, and credits reset each billing cycle without rolling over. Claude costs 20 credits per check and Grok 31, against 2 to 8 for the other engines. On raw volume, Otterly Lite checks 15 prompts daily on 4 engines, about 1,800 answers a month, against about 650 for our Starter (50 prompts weekly on 3 engines). We are also a newer brand than Semrush or Ahrefs, so expect fewer third-party reviews.

## How to Pick Your Stack

Most teams already use AI tools for marketing in some form. [Salesforce's State of Marketing survey](https://www.salesforce.com/marketing/resources/state-of-marketing-report/conf/), a double-blind poll of 4,450 marketing professionals across 26 countries, found 75% of marketing organizations using at least one form of AI.

The harder question is which tools earn a place, and the surveys name different obstacles. In [Zapier's survey](https://zapier.com/blog/ai-spending/), 26% of respondents picked "Too many tools create confusion or overlap" as a challenge. In Influencer Marketing Hub's [AI Marketing Benchmark Report](https://influencermarketinghub.com/ai-marketing-benchmark-report/), a 2024 survey of 1,290 marketers, 71.7% of those who had not adopted AI named lack of understanding as the main obstacle.

Security, compliance and governance concerns were the most-picked challenge to getting more value from paid AI tools in the same Zapier survey, chosen by 39% of respondents (several answers were allowed), so ask every vendor where your data goes, whether it trains models on your inputs, and how you delete it.

A four-step audit keeps the stack small:

1. **Log the hours.** For one week, note the three tasks that eat the most time. Those are your jobs.
2. **Start with one assistant.** Cover every job with a general assistant first.
3. **Add one specialist per job.** Add one only when it saves more time than the review it creates.
4. **Audit overlap and price the exit.** Each quarter, check whether your CRM, SEO suite or design tool already includes the AI feature you are about to buy separately, and find out whether you can export your brand voice settings, prompts and sequences if you cancel.

<figure className="not-prose my-6">

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Which AI tool is best for marketing?

It depends on the job. For most people the first buy is a general assistant: Claude Pro is $20 a month ($17 billed annually), ChatGPT Plus is $20 and Google AI Pro is $19.99. Add a specialist only for the job that costs you the most hours, using the table at the top of this guide.

### What are the best free AI marketing tools?

The free plans we captured include ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, Canva Free, Buffer Free with its AI Assistant on 3 channels, HubSpot Marketing Hub Free for up to 2 users, Klaviyo Free for 250 active profiles, Zapier Free with 100 tasks, and n8n's self-hosted Community Edition. Free tiers cap usage, so check the limits before you build a workflow on one.

### What are the best AI marketing tools for a small business?

A small stack can cost about $29 to $38 a month: an assistant, Canva Pro, and the free tiers of Buffer and Zapier, as priced in the cost table above. Add Klaviyo if you sell online and live in email, and add an AI search tracker only once you have a reason to measure it.

## Where to Go Next

Before you add that first specialist, price it at the seats, channels, credits or profiles you will actually use, because the entry tiers above are floors. If AI search is one of your jobs, begin with access: a site that AI bots cannot reach is much harder to cite, whatever tracker you pick. Our free [AI Readiness checker](https://geotoolbox.ai/tools/ai-readiness) runs five checks with no sign-up; three of them set its headline score, and two emerging signals are shown separately.
